  1. Congratulations! What a wonderful gift! The typewriter looks fantastic, even new. The typeface is very nice. good job with the WD-40. I await the re-inking results.

  3. Wow! A nice gesture on Walt's part. Nice machine, sir. I was beginning to wonder what had happened to you. And if the case is missing a handle, you could pull the same trick I did on my Royal. Works like a charm.
    Congrats on a nice typewriter.

  4. Wow - what an unusual paint job. Looks kind of like a theatre prop. (I just sent off a 'surprise' typer to a pen friend in VA. It's fun being the sender too!)

  5. Sweet! At some point, I hope you get to see Walt's coffee pot collection -- and maybe blog about it.

Of all the typewriter pics you posted, I love this one the most! Mostly because the color would go so nice in my house, LOL! I picture it on a side table waiting for someone to leave a message on it.
The second picture of Walt is stunning.
I'm the world's worst pen pal.

  7. Pretty! Hmm, I see my guessing skills need some work. But at least the Royal is far more interesting than another SC portable, anyway.

  8. I looked at the first picture of Walt and couldn't help wondering if his last name might be Whitman
